12 Knoxville burger places with hours from their own sites: Market Square, the Old City edge, Cumberland Avenue, Kingston Pike, Clinton Highway and Kern's.

Last checked Oct. 18, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Knoxville’s sit-down burger places cluster downtown, on Market Square and at the edge of the Old City, and along Kingston Pike in west Knoxville. Late-night and fast-food burgers are on Cumberland Avenue by the university and Clinton Highway in the northwest, with a neighborhood grill on North Broadway in Inskip and a smashburger counter at Kern’s Food Hall in South Knoxville.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records with a Knoxville address, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website or chain location page on Oct. 18, 2026. We added T. Ralph’s Burgers from the Kern’s Food Hall vendor page and Union Place from its own site, which lists burgers. We left out chain pages that would not load for us (Bit Burger, Burger King, Carolina Ale House, McDonald’s and Sonic) and places with no website of their own. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
